Under limited supervision provides support, guidance and programmatic supervision to volunteers assigned to advocate in Family Court through the South Carolina Guardian ad Litem Program.
The Program Coordinator I will support office functions necessary for effective volunteer advocacy and assists with recruiting and training new volunteers.
The Program Coordinator I will input program information as needed into the ETO database for tracking county statistical information.
The Program Coordinator I will be responsible for assigning volunteers to child abuse/neglect cases and providing assistance to the volunteers with case management and court preparation.
The Program Coordinator assists with planning and facilitating continuing education of volunteers.
As the Case Manager, performs direct child advocacy as the court appointed Guardian ad Litem when there is an inadequate pool of volunteers to serve in this capacity.
The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities of the Program Coordinator:
Assign volunteers to children in cases of child abuse/neglect; provides supervision and support to volunteers to ensure compliance with law, policy, and program's objectives regarding the best Interest of the children.
Provide assistance with the preparation for court and court reports and attends hearings with volunteers as required and appropriate.
Maintain accurate child and case specific information in the ETO database:
coordinates the receipt of monthly monitoring reports (MMR) and inputs data Into the ETO database while maintaining a tracking system of monthly monitoring reports received.
Assist with training new and existing volunteers according to program guidelines.
Assist with recruiting a diverse and sufficient pool of volunteers so that all cases can be assigned to a volunteer and maintain policy guidelines regarding case assignments to staff and volunteers.
Perform administrative functions for the county office that promotes effective and efficient achievement of program goals and objectives.
Assist with the coordination of volunteer appreciation and program awareness events; assist with the recruitment of new volunteers.

Completes any special assignments or tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Ability to train and supervise volunteers.
Knowledge of computer applications and data entry.
Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedure.
