5K a year Receptionist - CCSD District Office Purpose Statement The job of District Center Receptionist is done for the purpose/s of greeting and directing visitors, responding to inquiries from staff, the public, parents, students, etc.
by providing requested information and/or referral to other parties; maintaining everyday operations of the District Office; and, when time permits, providing general clerical support.
This job reports to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
Essential Functions Answer telephone system for screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages.
Distribute items within the site (e.
g.
special delivery and overnight mail/packages, messages, application packets, etc.
) for ensuring receipt to addressee.
Greet individuals entering the building (e.
g.
visitors, parents, students, vendors, etc.
) for responding to inquiries and/or directing individuals to appropriate location in accordance with established building security procedures.
Maintain reception area materials (e.
g.
newsletters, event calendars, etc.
) for providing resource information to visitors.
Maintain building information (e.
g.
use schedules, staff directories, emergency contacts, etc.
) for providing reference information.
Manage, record, distribute leave forms for District Office Staff and Administration Manage, update, and maintenance of informational software records for providing necessary information, as needed.
Perform general clerical functions (e.
g.
scheduling, copying, faxing, data entry, filing, processing outgoing mail, maintaining mail machine, etc.
) for supporting office operations.
Receive a variety of items (e.
g.
mail, special deliveries, packages, supplies, etc.
) for distributing materials to appropriate parties.
Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include preparing and maintaining accurate records; operating standard office equipment; utilizing pertinent software applications; classifying data and/or information; and customer service.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and solve practical problems.
Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include business telephone etiquette; knowledge of CCSD staff and programs; grammar, spelling and punctuation; office practices; and CCSD safety and security practices.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment.
Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods.
Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize job-related equipment.

Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited.

Work Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:

This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Experience:
Job related experience is required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Equivalency:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
