Responsible for the safe work practices and production in either of the following departments: Green End (log storage, log utilization center, block conditioning, green veneer production) or Dry End Department (dryers, lay-up, hot presses, and finishing/shipping). This includes, but is not limited to: reporting to leadership, the results of safety, production, maintenance and quality of either the Green End or Dry End Departments and ensuring they conform to established guidelines; assist in strategic planning; trains and develops supervisors in all aspects of good employee relations; must be knowledgeable of plant policies and procedures; work with maintenance to prioritize maintenance needs and preventive maintenance for department. Must comply with environmental regulations. Build a team concept by coaching and understanding the BIC process in order to produce high quality veneer at the lowest cost and maintain employee morale. Build a strong leadership team and work well with internal and external customers. All other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: College degree preferred and/or a minimum of 5 years work experience in the plywood manufacturing industry or equivalent experience. Position requires analytical and problem solving skills in addition to ability to communicate effectively with all levels of supervision.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
